Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Dough
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
Pizza Topping
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup goat cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C), and if available, place a pizza stone inside to heat for a crispier crust.
- Prepare Dough Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, active dry yeast, and salt. Gradually add the warm water while mixing to form a soft dough.
- Knead Dough: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead it for 5 to 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Roll Out Dough: Roll out the dough into your desired pizza shape and thickness. Then transfer it carefully onto the pizza stone or a baking sheet.
- Prepare Pumpkin Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the canned pumpkin puree with garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Spread this mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Add Cheeses: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese across the pumpkin layer. Follow by placing dollops of crumbled goat cheese and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake Pizza: Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Once baked, garnish the pizza with freshly chopped parsley before slicing into 8 pieces and serving warm.
Notes
- Ensure the water used for the dough is warm but not hot to activate yeast properly.
- Using a pizza stone helps achieve a crispier crust but is optional.
- Adjust the seasoning in the pumpkin topping according to taste preferences.
- You can substitute goat cheese with feta for a slightly different flavor profile.
- Let the dough rest for a few minutes after kneading for easier rolling if time allows.
