Description

This refreshing Ginger Peach Lemonade combines the natural sweetness of ripe peaches with a zesty hint of fresh ginger and tart lemon juice. Perfect for warm days, this homemade beverage offers a balanced, invigorating flavor that’s easy to make and sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale

Peach Syrup Ingredients

  • 3 ripe peaches, chopped
  • 1 ½ inch piece of fresh ginger, sliced
  • ½ cup cane sugar
  • 5 cups cold water (divided use)

Fresh Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peach Syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped peaches, sliced fresh ginger, cane sugar, and 2 cups of the cold water. Simmer the mixture over medium heat for about 5 minutes until it starts bubbling and the peaches soften. Once done, remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
  2. Blend: Transfer the cooled peach and ginger mixture to a blender. Blend on high speed until it becomes smooth. Then strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove solids and create a smooth syrup.
  3. Mix: Add the fresh squeezed lemon juice and the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher with the peach syrup. Stir well to combine all ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Serve: Pour the ginger peach lemonade over ice in tall glasses. Garnish with peach slices and fresh mint leaves, if desired, for a beautiful presentation and extra aroma.

Notes

  • Use ripe, juicy peaches for the best natural sweetness and flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of cane sugar to taste depending on the sweetness of your peaches.
  • For a spicier kick, leave more ginger in the syrup or add a small slice in each glass when serving.
  • This lemonade can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a fizzy version, substitute some or all of the cold water with sparkling water just before serving.
