Description

This visually stunning American Flag Charcuterie Board features a patriotic arrangement of fresh berries, savory meats, light-colored cheeses, and crunchy snacks. Perfect for Fourth of July celebrations or any patriotic gathering, this board combines sweet and salty flavors with a festive presentation that resembles the American flag.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 12 oz blueberries and blackberries
  • 8 oz raspberries
  • 8 oz strawberries
  • 16 oz cherries

Snacks and Sweets

  • 3 oz white chocolate pretzels
  • 1 sleeve club crackers

Meats and Cheeses

  • 8-10 oz sliced pepperoni and salami
  • 10 oz light-colored cheese (such as Swiss or pepperjack)

Instructions

  1. Wash and Prepare Fruits: Wash all fruits thoroughly under cold running water, then dry them completely to prevent moisture from affecting the arrangement or texture.
  2. Arrange Cheese Stripe: Lay out the slices of light-colored cheese in a horizontal stripe across the center of your serving platter, creating the base line of the flag’s stripes.
  3. Add Meats, Crackers, and Cherries: Below the cheese stripe, layer the sliced pepperoni and salami evenly. Place club crackers and cherries beneath the meats to build out the red and white stripes.
  4. Create Upper Half Stripes: Above the cheese stripe, form three half stripes by arranging raspberries, white chocolate pretzels, and strawberries in that order to represent additional red and white stripes of the flag.
  5. Fill Remaining Space and Decorate: Fill the remaining section on the left upper corner of the board with a mix of blueberries and blackberries to mimic the blue canton. Cut small stars from the same light-colored cheese and scatter them over the berry area for decoration.
  6. Serve or Store: Serve the charcuterie board immediately for best freshness, or cover tightly and refrigerate until ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • Make sure all fruit and ingredients are fresh for optimal flavor and appearance.
  • The stars cut from cheese add a charming decorative touch but can be omitted if preferred.
  • Use parchment paper or a large wooden board as a base to make cleanup easier.
  • This board can be customized with different meats or cheeses based on personal preference.
  • Serve with small tongs or toothpicks to make it easy for guests to select items.
