Description

These Air Fryer Pork Egg Rolls are crispy, golden, and packed with a savory ground pork and vegetable filling. Made healthier by air frying instead of deep-frying, this recipe delivers a delicious appetizer or snack with less oil and mess. Perfectly seasoned with soy sauce, ginger, and sesame oil, these egg rolls are easy to prepare and cook quickly in the air fryer for a crispy finish every time.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

Other

  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Cook the Filling: In a large skillet, cook the ground pork over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Add shredded cabbage, carrots, green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and grated ginger. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender. Remove from heat and allow the filling to cool slightly.
  2. Assemble Egg Rolls: Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner facing you. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of pork filling into the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides tightly and roll up to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  3. Preheat Air Fryer and Prepare Egg Rolls: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray each egg roll with cooking spray to help achieve a crispy texture.
  4. Air Fry: Arrange the egg rolls in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not touch. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through cooking, until they turn golden brown and crisp.
  5. Serve: Remove egg rolls from the air fryer, let them cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce such as sweet and sour or soy sauce.

Notes

  • Do not overfill the egg roll wrappers to prevent them from bursting during cooking.
  • Ensure the air fryer basket is not overcrowded to allow even cooking and crispiness.
  • Use cooking spray generously to help the egg rolls crisp up without deep frying.
  • Leftover egg rolls can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer for best results.
  • Feel free to customize the filling by adding mushrooms or bean sprouts for extra texture.
